Is the Atonement Really for ME?

"I was listening to a talk today by Dr. Lund, an LDS speaker. Something he said struck me to be true.

He pointed out that there is not 1 priesthood ordinance that is performed for the "masses". All ordinances, blessing and so on are done individually. We do temple work for each individual 1 at a time.

Then Dr. Lund takes us to the Garden of Gethsemane. He believes that time stopped for Christ as he took each of our names 1 at a time to Father and ransomed himself for our sins. He did not pay for all lairs all at once. This was not an anonymous service.

This makes sense to me. How else could the Atonement be an individual and personal process? We know that service is the best way to love and get to know someone. The Lord had to pay for my sins 1 at a time.

He can succor me perfectly because he paid for my sins 1 at a time as he took ""my"" name through the ""Temple of Gethsemane"". This is how he came to know me perfectly and grew to love me perfectly, through His service to me.

When I am asked if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I can say YES, The Lord KNOWS Me."
